David Madore Named Semi-Finalist for Entrepreneur Award

by lewwaters

This blog no longer supports David Madore and calls upon him to resign immediately!

Buried in the Business section of the Sunday, May 6, 2012 edition of the Columbian, appeared the following little blurb,

“David Madore, CEO of Vancouver-based U.S. Digital, is a semi-finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 Award in the Pacific Northwest. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.”

Being named semi-finalist for a prestigious award is an honor few receive, even in the business world. But David Madore also saw his business, U.S. Digital recently named one of “Vancouver’s Fastest Growing Businesses: 10 years +,” quite a feat considering how poorly so many other businesses have performed in this ongoing repressed economy.

More than just a business owner, David Madore is also a community minded person, opening up empty office space in his business to over 30 non-profits, free of charge.

A healthy 60 years old, he is far from the stingy picture painted of many successful CEO’s. He keeps available trail mix, almonds, peanuts, fruit, orange juice, frozen straw-berries, peanut butter, salad ingredients like lettuce, tons of veggies, and expensive “Dave’s” bread, coffee and tea for his employees and the non-profits he has opened space to, all at no charge.
