Clark County’s Best Friend
It’s Not “Madore’s Bridge”
This blog no longer supports David Madore and calls upon him to resign immediately!
As expected, CRC fanatics, still stinging from the defeat of their light rail extension being forced into Clark County against citizen will, are lining up to oppose the recently unveiled East County Bridge proposal given by Linda Figg of Figg Engineering.
One way they are forming their opposition is by linking the concept directly to County Commissioner David Madore, who seems only too happy to see his name and photo appearing in the pages of the papers again.
The Lazy C told us in their article on the presentation, “Firm pitches option for Madore’s idea of east county bridge over Columbia,” and that the idea is “Championed by Clark County Commissioner David Madore.”
Mike Briggs & A Bogus Abraham Lincoln Quote
Apparently getting more desperate, marginal Democrat candidate for the 18th Legislative District, Mike Briggs, is trying to score points as a “friend of labor,” thinking dwindling union support might help his fleeting cause of being elected. In so doing, he posted the following on his facebook page recently;
Can Democrats Ever Be Truthful?
Democrats have long claimed to be “for the people,” but can they really be for the common man when they lie through their teeth on a nearly daily basis?
It has been in the news that the Speaker of the House is suing Barack Obama, having won the approval of the majority of the House to proceed.
And Democrats livid over that prospect have fallen back to their usual flat out, bald faced lies in order to raise funds and smear the effort, witnessed by three emails I have received directly from the Democrat Party below.
Chuck Atkins for Sheriff
After careful consideration, I have decided I should make known my choice in this primary election for Sheriff and not to take anything away from any of the other three candidates vying for the office, have determined Chuck Atkins should be elected in November.
This was not an easy decision as I feel all four meet the qualifications, but come November, only one will win the office, two first in the Primary Election facing us.
I was the first to post reviews of the candidates in a three part series based upon questions I presented to all four, here, here and here. The questions were compiled by me on issues I felt would be of importance. All candidates were forthright with their answers and on most issues, not that far apart.
Back Home
Got back home yesterday afternoon and still tired, exhausted would be more accurate. Enjoyed being in San Antonio and elsewhere, but as was said in the movie, there’s no place like home.
I did spend two days in Peidras Negras Mexico and surprisingly, witnessed no problems at this particular border crossing. That doesn’t mean other locations do not experience them, but for whatever reason, this particular one is not.
It’s good being back home and now, as I rest up, will get back up to s peed on the primary elections. I listed just a few at the top of the sidebar to the right of those I support and will be looking closer into adding more.

VACATION
Just to let everybody know, I will be out of town for the next week and a half, going to take some time to visit family and a new grand daughter.
I will have my netbook, but will likely not be online a lot, so do not despair, I will approve comments when I can. Sorry for the delay.
I will also read emails as I can.
Flight leaves at 8:30, so early to bed tonight as well.
Keep them on their toes while I am gone 🙂
Lazy C Diverts BRT Opposition Focus
As usual, the Lazy C deliberately focuses in on one angry opponent to a much wanted boondoggle, while ignoring nearly two hours of reasoned, calmly spoken testimony from citizens on both sides of the issue. C-Tran board meeting takes uncomfortable turn
I don’t know Mr. Thomas, but can relate to his anger at years of being ignored by elected officials that squander our tax dollars, although I would have chosen a different manner to express it. Still, he reflects his own anger as six members of the C-Tran Board of Fools once again ignored all public testimony and chose to keep pushing forward on a project citizens have clearly indicated they do not want.
Leave it to the Lazy C, who apparently support this latest boondoggle as they did the comatose CRC light rail project to paint opponents as angry and out of control, completely skipping over rational speakers like these below.

Why is it Democrats can’t get through the day without playing the Race Card?
Even Democrats Not Safe From Jim Moeller’s “Garbage”
I’ve already given a couple examples of Jim Moeller (D 49) own “garbage” he has expressed over time towards Republicans. But his “garbage” has not been reserved solely for the Republicans. Anybody that is not in lock-step with Moeller is subjected to such “garbage.”
