Received in email from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, titled: “AWESOME Bernie Sanders quote;”
I guess we are to believe, much like the early Bolsheviks and Marxist convinced the people of Russia in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, Sanders is and Democrats are for the so-called “little guy,” the struggling middle class worker and even the “professional” poor class in America today.
If the name Lindsey Stone does not ring a bell, allow me a moment to refresh your memory.
Lindsey Stone and her friend Jamie Schuh are self professed “douchebag’s” that posted a photo of Ms. Stone on facebook of her very disrespectful pose at Arlington National Cemetery back in 2012.
The action caused an outrage nationwide, resulting her losing her job, being nationally shamed and even to the point of receiving death threats, that final action I disagree with.
Most of us put her disrespect behind us and she seemed to fade off into obscurity, which probably would have been the best thing for her to do.
Received in email today and posted for your information, believe it or don’t. As with other announcements posted, this should not be considered in support of or in opposition to. Posted solely for your information.
Dear Friends,
Yesterday my wife Mary dropped a bombshell on me. She filed her papers to be a candidate for the County Council. I am certain many folks will believe that I orchestrated her candidacy. Nothing could be further from the truth. I went to work Friday morning thinking she had decided against it, but Mary has always believed in community service and now that Austin (our youngest) is going off to college she feels she will have the time to devote to making Clark County a better place to live.
I previous posted the News Release of Scott Dalesandro running for Port of Vancouver Commissioner. I was previously told by his son, Mike, current Battle Ground City Council Member, that he too was considering throwing his hat in the ring and run for the newly created position of Clark County Council Chair.
The following information is Mike Dalesandro’s announcement of running and is not to be considered support. As previously stated, this blog will not be supporting nor opposing any candidates this election.

PRESS RELEASE
Meet Don Charles Steinke, well known in Clark County as an anti-fossil fuel activist. Don is sincere in his activism and is well spoken and well versed in his one point of view.
First, my apologies to Don for singling him out, but I also know he has been chomping at the bit for a chance to spread his message here. A message I personally feel is somewhat misguided.
It is said that ignorance is bliss. And if there is any truth to be found in that line from Thomas Gray’s poem, nowhere could it be found better than right here in good old Clark County Washington.
As we know, ignorance is essentially a lack of knowledge on any given matter. It’s pretty much what would be found where objectivity is nonexistent and the pabulum of bias prevails as people become too lazy to seek accurate knowledge and place unwarranted trust in those they believe are the best to lead them for any variety of reasons.
Such thought was summed up by the father of the Soviet Union, Vladimir Lenin when he claimed, “The press should be not only a collective propagandist and a collective agitator, but also a collective organizer of the masses.”
It’s now been 70 years, the bloodiest conflict in history, World War II was drawing to a close. While we in America and other Allied Countries celebrated with jubilant smiles, our fathers and mothers paid little heed to the Germans experience as they woke up to the evil they had permitted to overtake their nation.
The German magazine, Der Spiegel treats us to a series of photos, interviews and video excerpts from the final days.
