Very crafty of Democrats to raise the alarm on Covid again, especially at this time. The first round of lock-down greatly harmed our economy, but President Trump was making steady progress rebuilding and improving the economy leading into the recent election.
Mysteriously, just as the election happens, we are somehow seeing implementation of the exact same steps that were implemented earlier this year and decimated the economy along with calls to not gather and forgo both Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings, due to claims of “surge” in Covid cases.
While primarily pointing fingers at the current “write-in” effort in the county council chair race, Jayne does mention the recent matter between the Clark County Democrat Party and the Young Democrats of Clark County when they endorsed separate candidates, the party getting behind Democrat Mike Dalesandro and the Young Democrats endorsing Independent Marc Boldt who has previously ran and won elections as a Republican.
I’m particularly struck by that as I read over on the C3G2 facebook page from Roy Valo, “Yeah, in the Dems we came up with a logical compromise that both the CCDCC and the YDs were satisfied with because we sat down and discussed the issue like adults.”
As we all know now, we finally have a budget passed and signed by the Governor, after the Democrat Party drug their feet, forcing the legislature into two special sessions as they did what they could to force more taxes on the people, even though they were not needed any time soon.
Typical conduct of tax & spend Democrats, we know.
But I was simply astonished at the hutzpah shown by Governor Inslee and the Washington State Democrats as shortly after signing the budget, I received an email wherein it is seen Inslee and Democrats steal all credit for the Republican budget as if it were theirs all along.
Gun grabbers across the nation were elated at their ability to pull the wool over voters eyes in passing their ill-advised anti-gun measure, I-594 in Washington State by a fairly large margin in 2014.
Promoted as merely a simple background check requirement on private sales and well funded by out of state anti-gun interests, 18 pages of the most confusing words that even law enforcement opposed and has seen both the State Attorney General and the Dept. of Licensing shy away from offering guidance on quickly transformed into “just the first step” in what gun-grabbers erroneously label “common sense solutions” to gun violence.
“The first problem is to slow down the number of handguns being produced and sold in this country. The second problem is to get handguns registered. The final problem is to make possession of all handguns and all handgun ammunition–except for the military, police, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs, and licensed gun collectors–totally illegal.” (Richard Harris, “A Reporter at Large: Handguns,” New Yorker, July 26, 1976, p. 58.)
Once again, a good guy with a gun stops a bad guy down in Moore, Oklahoma as the sad news of a recently fired man has beheaded one woman and was shot in the process of stabbing another.
Yet another wake up call is given as we read that the murderer was a recent convert to Islam, “the religion of peace” that has been beheading people around the globe.
There have been calls from the Middle East to begin beheading citizens inside the U.S. while at the same time, our alleged “leaders” in Washington D.C. dilly dally around on sealing our borders and push for legislation to further restrict law-abiding citizens guns.
For those of you unable to attend Wednesday evening, the Freedom Foundation’s Tom McCabe and Scott Roberts speaking at an event held in Vancouver, Washington on April 23, 2014. Hosted by Lynda Wilson (R), candidate for Washington State Representative 17th Legislative District.
Amazing the steps the teachers union apparently will take to fight basing teacher evaluations on student test scores. Following is a full email sent to me that is claimed to have been sent out to all members of the WEA, along with the request to not reply, print or forward the email.
Fortunately, someone decided the public has a right to know.
You in the private sector do not receive the opportunity to miss work, with pay and have your travel paid to support or oppose legislation that effects your children. But the teachers union apparently does.
A common theme I am seeing in Democrat hopefuls for office this year is their claimed desire to tackle “dysfunction” in our political representation, ignoring that it has been their party as large contributors of “dysfunction.”
Of course, the intent is to claim that having any part of the government under a Republican majority and the rest a Democrat majority, as we see in Olympia and back in Washington D.C., makes it “dysfunctional” in such a way that Democrats are being blocked in what they wish to do.
I was preparing to do a post pointing out how it isn’t “dysfunctional” at all, but is what our founders intended, competing thoughts and ideologies coming together somewhere in middle ground to give the best compromises possible. Such a compromising attitude is what gave us our constitution after some real knock-down, drag out fighting.
We all saw the bipartisan Senate Coalition Majority brought about last year and the predictions of it failing. Yet, it remains and appears like it will for some time.
At a recent function, the question was put forth on whether or not it was successful. Two opposing views were given, one by Republican Senator Don Benton, who played a large role in getting it off the ground and the other by far leftist Democrat Representative Jim Moeller.

From the December 13, 2013 Clark County Republican Party Christmas gala, retired Washington State Auditor, Brian Sonntag, a Democrat known for placing the people over the party, in wrapping up his Keynote Speech, reminds the audience to stay engaged with elected officials.
Delivered with humor, Mr. Sonntag presents excellent advice for everybody, regardless of political belief.

Although I have not been very vocal for some time about it, the election of Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler is one that I have opposed in 2010 and in 2012 stayed out of. I did not hide my views in the 2010 primary that she was not suited for the job.
And she has proven me right more than once.
Of late, after some 15 days of the recent partial shut down of the government, she issued a letter calling on everybody to “face reality” on Obamacare and subsequently surrendered by voting to accept Obama and the Democrats terms, leaving the rest of us standing strong with egg on our faces.
The local Republican Party, under new leaders then when it firmly backed her against strong conservative candidates in 2010, to the point of actively undermining a candidate that previously held positions in Washington D.C. with the Veterans Administration and Department of Homeland Security, has issued an open letter expressing their disappointment with Ms. Herrera Beutler.
Susan Hutchison has been elected to chair the Washington State Republican Party, defeating three challengers that included local Clark County GOP Operations Director Christian Berrigan and interim party chair Luanne Van Werven, as well as Pierce County’s Grays Harbor County’s James Walsh.
Local favorite Christian Berrigan was defeated in the first round along with James Walsh, Berrigan receiving 11 votes, Walsh receiving 16. Susan Hutchinson Hutchinson received 39 behind Luanne Van Werven’s 41 in first round balloting.
The second round ended up with 59 votes for Hutchison, 46 for Luanne Van Werven who has been serving as interim party chair since Kirby Wilbur’s resignation.
