What Does Jay Inslee Have Against Veterans?

by lewwaters

While it is not a requirement that political candidates acknowledge Veterans out in public, most make an effort to thank us for serving, especially if having served in a combat zone. That is what left this Veteran who took this footage wondering why Mr. Inslee, campaigning for Governor of Washington State, made efforts to acknowledge and greet nearly every person around, but not the Veteran. As the series of still photos show, candidates of all stripes and both parties did acknowledge, greet and thank this Veteran at the parade.

But not Jay Inslee.

Meet Shahram Hadian in Wahkiakum County

by lewwaters

Shahram Hadian, the conservative Republican the WSRP continues to ignore will be holding a Meet & Greet this Friday, June 29, 2012 in Wahkiakum County, Washington.

We do not have to settle on who the parties tell us we will have to vote for this election, we do have a choice. And it is our choice, not the Democrat or Republican Party’s choice to limit who we select to represent us.

Jay Inslee to Abandon Constituents to Seek Governor’s Mansion

by lewwaters

A ‘Breaking News Alert’ from the Seattle Times announced that 7 term Liberal Democrat, Jay Inslee (Wa. 01) will resign his position to the House of Representatives in order to devote more time in his struggle to be Washington States next Governor.

Inslee, with a 92% record of following the party line has lagged behind GOP candidate Rob McKenna throughout the campaign and if the GOP were not once again playing favorites, it is likely he would be shown to be lagging behind conservative gubernatorial candidate Shahram Hadian as well.

The media and both parties have placed their bets on Inslee and McKenna, locking out others who would place the state the people of the state above all else.

Gregoire Not Seeking Third Term

by lewwaters

Being reported in both the Olympian and the Seattle Times, “The Associated Press is reporting that Gov. Chris Gregoire is not seeking re-election to a third term. Gregoire is still set to “announce her future plans” at a 10 a.m. news conference today.”

More to follow, but ever since Christine Gregoire snatched the governorship from Republican Dino Rossi in 2004, the state has drastically increased spending that is now unsustainable.

Gregoire has faced fire for her reluctance to reign in spending that has left the state facing multi-Billion dollar gaps necessitating extreme measures to meet the balanced budget law.

Republican Rob McKenna has announced his intent to run for Governor and it is expected Democrat Jay Inslee will now enter the race to replace Gregoire.

UPDATE from TVW: “She said for the next 18 months of her term, she’ll work hard to ensure the state gets out of the recession. After that, she has no plans — except maybe taking a break to get to spend some time with her family.”

I dread seeing what she classifies as “work hard to ensure the state gets out of the recession,” after how she worked hard to plunge us deeper into this mess.
