Why I Can’t Support Joe Kent

by lewwaters

While I have yet to decide who will receive my vote for the 3rd Congressional District race, I cannot give it to Joe Kent, regardless of his Trump endorsement.

In this same Feb. 11, 2022 Lars Larson interview, Kent, as heard in the above video, denies outright that he believes in any socialist ideas of Bernie Sanders, then goes on the list areas he seeks or desires “common ground” with both Sanders and the left.

Herrera Beutler Essentially Seems to Maybe Take a Stand

by lewwaters

It sure seems like she is essentially in favor of maybe opposing the project if perhaps voters and taxpayers once again get the chance to make their voices known if by chance a vote on funding is ever held again.

She has sent a “strongly worded” letter suggesting a district-wide vote, but declined to take a position on the major sore point of the project, extending light rail from Portland, Oregon.

She said on whether or not she supports light rail, “That’s an interesting question. I don’t want to get out in front and impose my feelings on the public. I’m not going to say, ‘I know better than you all what is needed here’.”

You just have to wonder, if she is like this in a friendly environment like Lars Larson, how would she fall apart in a hostile interview?

Lars Larson To Help Kick Off Brian Peck Campaign

by lewwaters

Brian Peck, local 76 station owner, will be announcing his candidacy for State Representative 17th District, at a reception with radio personality Lars Larson as featured speaker. Peck, a long time resident of Clark County , decided to run for office to combat the out-of-control state spending and restore the public’s trust in state government. “I know that a real quality of life is based on a solid economy.” Peck stated. “My business experience will bring reasoned, common sense solutions to the issues the 17th District cares about most.”

Lars Larson offered to support his campaign at a kick-off event. Lars will be speaking about the issues faced in the District and how to bring needed solutions to the problems. “I am honored that Lars Larson feels so passionately about the 17th District and has agreed to give me his support“, Peck said. “Lars understands the importance of hard work and a free enterprise system.”

Friday, September 25th at 7 pm. The reception is open to the public. The Cameo Café is located at 7703 NE 72nd Avenue in Hazel Dell. Please call “The Committee to Elect Brian Peck – R” for more information 360-449-9989.
