Say What, Harry?

Sen. Reid doesn’t seem to be alone in viewing Justice Thomas now as a “White Man.” Senate Democrats Take on Supreme Court’s ‘White Men’ Over Contraception Ruling

Why is it Democrats can’t get through the day without playing the Race Card?

Clark College Helps Create Controversy Where None Exists

by lewwaters

Clark College continues to show it is really more of an Institution of Leftist Indoctrination than it is an Institution of Higher Education. Actual education seems to be secondary to actually educating students seeking to better themselves in being functioning members of society as it was when I was a student there.

In typical leftist fashion, Clark recently opened what could be jokingly referred to as their “Diversity Center,” presumably in an effort to overcome previous allegations leveled of rampant intolerance and racism on the campus by certain vested interests, even though none actually existed.

Most students ignored the self admitted neo-Nazi passing out flyers many said were racist, but that did not stop a small handful of instructors and teachers at Clark who leapt at the incident to whip up racial disharmony and demand a call for more “diversity,” a catch word now for acceptance and tolerance of any and everything, except White Christian heterosexuals.

Of Created Controversy and Hate Fests

by lewwaters

Longtime Democrat party activist, operative and pollster Pat Caddell recently stated, “The Press is the ‘enemy of the American people’” in a speech given at an Accuracy in Media event. Of course, he is addressing the media’s reluctance, or more accurately, their refusal to publish much about the ongoing scandals regarding the Obama Administration.

But his point goes much further if we look towards the heavy bias often seen in our own local paper, the Columbian, or as many see it, the “unofficial daily newsletter for the Democrat Party” and their coverage of local and state politics.

The bias is evidenced in their creation of controversies where none really exists as well as what can only be described as pure hate of certain elected officials, Republicans of course.

Created Controversy

Once again we see the Columbian taking something and blowing into a full blown scandal even though there actually is nothing really wrong. We saw this same creating a controversy previously as an elderly Democrat couple receiving a campaign letter seeking donations and disguised as a poll became offended and the paper created a huge scandal, Podunk Reporter Creates Issue, Boasts of Resolution.

Elmer Fudd for 3rd Congressional District

by lewwaters

I find it unbelievable that we in the 3rd Congressional District still cannot find a good conservative candidate to run. Democrats and a RINO have held the seat for far too long.

Democrat Brian Baird held the seat comfortably for several years with no challenger coming close to defeating him.

That seemed to change in 2010 when then chair of the Clark County GOP Ryan Hart requested I find out what I could about an Olympia area Republican stepping up to run against him and begin blogging in support of him. I met David Castillo shortly after and saw that we finally had a strong conservative with impeccable experience who was willing to step up and confront Baird.

Whether or not he could have defeated Baird became academic when Baird announced he was not going to run for reelection in 2010.

When the Going Gets Tough, Play the Race Card

by lewwaters

As Capitol Hill heats up in regards to the ATF gun-running scandal, Fast and Furious, a failed operation where thousands of guns were illegally sent into the hands of Mexico’s drug lords, costing over 300 Mexican lives and the death of one U.S. Border Patrol Officer, Attorney General Eric Holder has been much less that cooperative when it comes to admitting his and the Obama Administrations role in the scandal or in supplying subpoenaed documents to Congress.

Barack Obama compounded the situation recently by invoking “Executive Privilege,” and raising more than a few eyebrows across the nation.

“Lying to Congress is a crime. We have every right to see documents to say, ‘did you know, when did you know, what did you know,’ including even the president,” says Rep. Darrell Issa, (R-Ca.), chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Issa adds, “There cannot be executive privilege over criminal cover-up or cover-up of crime.”

By all indication, Obama & Holder’s backs are up against the wall as more is discovered on this obvious cover-up, leading even foreign press to begin comparing it to the 1973 Watergate scandal that brought about the resignation in disgrace of then Republican President, Richard Nixon.

With the invoking of ‘Executive Privilege” looking like it is backfiring, what else would we expect this “post-racial” administration and Democrats to do but begin playing the race card to deflect attention away from what may be criminal activities by the Obama Administration.

Will the Sanctioning of Marc Boldt Next be Called “Racist?”

by lewwaters

Maybe a little farfetched, I grant you, but the way the “Hyena’s of Inkville” have been carrying on and how Commissioner Boldt continues to go around the county crying that he was sanctioned, playing the victim when he clearly deserved to be sanctioned, it wouldn’t surprise me at all.

Clearly Commissioner Boldt has grown very comfortable sitting in his well paid cushioned seat of authority on the Clark County Board of Commissioners supporting Liberal Democrat agendas while claiming to be a Republican and expecting conservative Republicans to support and vote for him.

It’s difficult for me to imagine why he would even worry about the sanctions, given his words recently quoted in a Reflector editorial, Boldt confident voters will ignore GOP demands.

Since the sanction amount to little more than withdrawing party support of him and not allowing access to party mailing lists, Boldt told the Reflector, “he has never used party mailing lists and that the most the party has donated to his campaign in the past is $100.”

I guess use of the party headquarters and being endorsed and promoted by the party to encourage party members to elect him aren’t worth very much to Commissioner Boldt. Personally, I would consider 89,033 votes worth quite a lot, even if all of them did not see the Clark County GOP Endorsement of Boldt.

No Grand Jury In Trayvon Martin Shooting

by lewwaters

Sure to further enrage those falling for the media hype and selective use of the race card over the February shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida, the Special Prosecutor appointed to investigate the case by Florida Governor Rick Scott today announced “There will be no grand jury in the Trayvon Martin shooting death investigation.”

State Attorney Angela Corey said, “The decision should not be considered a factor in the final determination of the case,” adding “At this time, the investigation continues and there will be no further comment from this office.”

I take that as meaning she prefers actual evidence and facts over media hype and politically motivated racial discord that has been seen largely in play concerning this case.

Update: Apparently I spoke too soon concerning Ms. Corey’s objectivity in this. At the outset of her April 11, 2012 news conference to announce charging Zimmerman with Second Degree murder she says, “Just moments ago, we spoke by phone with Sabrina Fulton and Tracy Martin. It was less than 3 weeks ago that we told those sweet parents that we would get answers to all of their questions, no matter where our quest for the truth led us. And it is the search for justice for Trayvon that has brought us to this moment…” (emphasis added)

In the meantime, another case, nearly a mirror to this one is drawing no media attention or outrage from either the White House or race hucksters as we see the shooting death of a 29 year old mentally deficient White man at the hands of a younger Black man in Phoenix, Arizona over what appears to be a misunderstanding after the Black mans car almost hit the White man in a drive through of a Taco Bell restaurant.

Herman Cain, You Are Not A Racist, But A Patriot

by lewwaters

Not issuing an endorsement of Herman Cain just yet, but the man definitely deserves a serious look.

“You are not a racist for disagreeing with the President who Happens to be Black, you are a Patriot for standing up for what you believe in.”

The more I hear from Herman Cain, the more I like what I see and hear. The question now is, will the establishment GOP undermine him while they promote their favored RINO to win the nomination, as they did with the 3rd Congressional District race in 2010 and others in 2008 to give us one of the least liked candidates?

Race Card Comes Out in Battle Ground Ethics Allegations

by lewwaters

I can’t really say it was inevitable and it does surprise me a bit to see the race card being used in the ethics allegations pending against Battle Ground city council member Paul Zandamela, but it has surfaced in an article appearing in the Reflector.

Joanna Michaud, staff reporter for the Reflector has penned her report, Two ethics complaints spur tension in BG where Zandamela makes the claim of Battle Ground Mayor Mike Ciraulo being behind the ethics violation complaints. Curiously, for reasons not quite understood, the accusation of Mayor Ciraulo being behind the allegations includes prominent mention of fellow council member Alex Reinhold’s teenage son being convicted 2 years ago of sending some very unsavory emails to Paul Zandamela.

I don’t know of a single person that excused what Chris did back then, but he had his day in court and pled guilty to the charges, an act that raised the eyebrows of at least two out of state law professors, especially after seeing that the U.S. Attorney’s Office undermined his Defense Attorney’s case on First Amendment grounds with threats of taking it to federal court, should the teen not change his plea to that of guilty of “cyberstalking.”
