Supreme Court Decides for Socialism and Against the American People

by lewwaters

Ruth Bader Ginsberg was right just days ago when she said the Supreme Court’s decision on Obamacare would come as a big surprise to many people. Today’s announcement that the government is free to mandate private citizens purchase health insurance or be fined by the government totally shocked well over half of the American people who have consistently called for this ‘Obamanation’ to be repealed.

Even more surprising was seeing that Chief Justice John Roberts was the swing vote in the 5 to 4 decision that just handed the government total power to just mandate whatever they desire the people to do and we must comply? Isn’t that something more along the lines of Cuba, Venezuela or the former Soviet Union?

Most telling in the decision is Justice Roberts reasoning he wrote in the majority decision of the “individual mandate requiring people to have health insurance is valid as a tax, even though it is impermissible under the Constitution’s commerce clause.”

Yes, requiring us to buy health insurance is unconstitutional, but since it is a tax, it is now constitutional to tax us if we do not comply and buy health insurance.

Preemptive Fearmongering on SCOTUS Obamacare Decision

by lewwaters

Tomorrow is the big day, the United States Supreme Court will announce their decision on the lawsuits filed by several states over Barack Obama’s signature legislation rammed through by a lame duck congress, Obamacare. Or, as Democrats prefer to falsely label it, the Affordable Care Act, the one former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi famously said we would have to pass in order to see what was in it.

No one knows yet which way the high court will decide on whether the federal government can force citizens into buying a product they may not desire.

The pollsters have been busy, though, polling Americans on what they want to see from the Court. According to the Houston Chronicle,

“Only 10% of Americans expect Supreme Court to uphold all of ObamaCare.”

“33 percent — say they expect the court to uphold portions of the law but strike down the requirement that Americans either buy insurance or pay a fine, the poll finds.”

“18 percent believe that the court will strike down the entire law and send Congress back to the drawing board.”

Have I Ever Been In Her Shoes?

by lewwaters

Far left Moveon.org asks, “Have you ever been in her shoes? Watch:”

I’m not a huge fan of Mitt Romney, so this is not in support of or an endorsement, but yes, as a matter of fact I have been in her shoes. After 20 years at a Chrysler dealer and at age 61, I found myself unemployed in an area with 15% unemployment when the White House helped compile of a list of 789 Chrysler dealers to have their franchises yanked, including some very profitable ones.

Should I feel pleased this young lady feels so good about saving her ass on the backs of taxpayers while hundreds of thousands of the rest of us were thrown out of work?

Maybe she needs to look at the real world.

Injured “Ex-Marine” Founder of IHateTheMarines.com

by lewwaters

The left’s spin of Scott Olsen, purported to be a two-time Iraq veteran who received a fractured skull in the Occupy Oakland riot, is typical of that ilk. It is unknown just what hit Olsen or where it came from, but is presumed to have been a Police Projectile.

As soon as he was seen injured, in typical fashion, the protesters leaped at a chance to now embrace one they would just as soon spit on, portraying him as a typical Marine, accusing the Police of targeting a Marine, blah, blah, blah, to quote Mayor Tim Leavitt.

While it is tragic that the 24 year-old has been injured, it should also be known that he was and is not your typical Marine Veteran. It turns out that Scott is the founder of a now defunct website, see here

A comment left on his facebook page here by a Jerry Dumas claims,

“In 2010, the Marines issued Olsen an “administrative discharge.” Maj. Shawn Haney, a Marines spokesman based in Quantico, Va., declined to discuss Olsen’s discharge, but said his departure could have been for anything from a medical condition to a punitive measure.
Im guessing the latter and not the former.
Anything less than an Honorable Discharge is a disgrace to the uniform.”

Additionally, the claims of brutality by Police at this “non-violent” protest falls apart as MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell ended yup embarrassed on the air by a protesters admission that they were in fact throwing rocks and bottles at Police.

The left’s claims of this being a struggle for freedom or improving the lot of people in America is as bogus as can be. This is obviously just what we have claimed it is all along, a move by anarchists and socialists to being about the collapse of America.

And, they have no problem using any and every thing as propaganda to accomplish that, including dishonoring the US Marine Corps.
