Moving Forward, Ignoring the Hatred

by lewwaters
Madore, Glare Watermark

David Madore

Clark County has become a microcosm of the bitter political divide seen throughout America as fringe elements on both sides of the aisle duke it out for control and more power in their hands to rule over us.

But that isn’t what our country was founded to be. I was taught that we were to be a shining example of diverse views meeting in the middle to hammer out disagreements and agree on solutions that would best benefit all, not just one side or the other.

Although I initially opposed it, we saw an effort at undoing such control by passing a home rule charter that stripped one such demagogue, David Madore, of the dictatorial powers he was exercising over the County once he was elected to the County Commission.

Now That the Shoe is on the Other Foot

by lewwaters

Madore, Stuart SneeringI recall the quick animosity that developed and that we all saw very soon after David Madore was sworn in, along with Tom Mielke after the 2012 elections. We saw how for many years, Mielke was the lone voice of conservatism on the County Commission, often sidelined by the votes of Democrat Steve Stuart and Marc Boldt, allegedly a Republican.

We all grew tired of the one-sided votes and after funding candidates previously that didn’t win, Madore ran himself in the 2012 election and won.

That relegated Stuart to the lone Liberal on the County Commission and as expected that did not set well with him after so many years of calling the shots.

The Times They Are a-Changin Prompts Commissioner Stuart to Throw Another Tantrum

by lewwaters

Mushroom CloudLiberal heads in Clark County are exploding like never before as we see County Commissioners Tom Mielke and David Madore direct County Administrator Bill Barron to begin the hiring process to hire State Senator Don Benton (R. 17) as the County’s director of environmental services.

The Columbian immediately went into meltdown finding a demonic looking photo of Benton to use in their rant last evening.

See County shocker: Benton tapped for top environmental job and the follow-up rant from acerbic Political Page Editor John Laird understudy, Stephanie Rice, Benton doesn’t appear to meet minimum requirements for county job.

Union Rage or Experience? Our Choice

by lewwaters

Washington’s 49th Legislative District is fairly well known as a stronghold for liberal Democrats on par with the Puget Sound. Democrats in the 49th continue to be elected time and again, in spite of it also having some of the highest taxes, highest unemployment rate and lags behind the rest of the state.

With the announcement from State Senator Craig Pridemore that he was not going to seek reelection, Democrats have enlisted and promote Annette Cleveland to run for that open seat. But, who is Annette Cleveland? What does she have to offer us? What political experience does she bring to the campaign?

In answer to the last two questions, very little other than her claims of assisting the Vancouver Chamber, C-TRAN and supporting far left Democrat Patty Murray at WSU.

With a résumé that thin, we have very little to go on other than what we hear her say in her campaign speeches, such as her description of what formed her “Foundational Beliefs” from her 2012 Clark County Democrat convention speech

“My Employer Makes More Off My Labor Than I Do”

by lewwaters

It seems that at just about any “progressive” protest rally, union unrest or occupy tantrums, it doesn’t take long before someone either in the crowd or on a speakers platform will state words to the effect of, “my employer make more off my labor than I do,” trying to build sympathy that they don’t receive proper wages for whatever their labor may be and whip up emotions to support demands of more.

In those crowds of envious and jealous malcontents, it is just what many desire to hear and speakers know it all too well. In the case of unions, demands follow for even more with no realization that any increases in business costs to employers must be passed along to consumers in order for their employer to remain in business and afford to pay them what they demand.

In a vicious circle, even those making the demand end up with less value for their dollar as consumer prices continue to climb.

Invariably, comparisons will be made that the laborer works hard, an undeniable fact and that while they may earn a decent wage, the employer is “raking in the dough” and enjoying large profits.

Some even claim that they end up investing in the “tools of the trade.” Mechanics, machinists, mill workers and more may end up owning over $30,000 worth of tools needed to perform their jobs and believe that to be a major investment, even though spread out over 30 or 40 years.

The Original “Occu-Mom Places 4 Year-Old Daughter on Train Tracks”

by lewwaters

Everybody else is posting my video, so I may as well too. 😉

I included it and made mention of it in my older post “David the Occupier” Tries to Justify Lost Wages to Middle Class Workers

Since cutting out the segment on the “Occu-Mom” and originally posting it to Victoria Taft’s blog, it has been embedded on Weazel Zippers, who most link back too, the Blaze, Fox Nation, Hot Air, FreeRepublic and I even found it embedded in the UK.

Yesterday, Dec. 14, 2011 it hit 71,000 views alone and currently has well over 400 comments, 99% appalled that this woman sat her 4 year-old daughter on train tracks and expressing her “faith in humanity” that a train would not run them down.

A few try to deflect away from her inadequate mothering skills by claiming it is “out of context (typical),” “edited,” “never happened,” and a few others claim it was all okay since they did not see a photo of the child on the tracks.

“David the Occupier” Tries to Justify Lost Wages to Middle Class Workers

by lewwaters

David the Occupier, December 12, 2011 1pm  [From Victoria Taft, KPAM 860]

It comes as no surprise that this group of malcontents, calling themselves “occupiers” but who in reality are nothing more than anarchists foolishly pushing for the country to become communist, justify their every action, no matter how much they hurt everyday workers.

Since they decided they have some “right” to take over and hold public parks, denying the rest of us our right to enjoy the parks, they have ratcheted up their discontent as they seek more notoriety, regardless of any destruction they may cause.

Just today, Monday December 12, 2011 we see them up and down the West Coast interfering with interstate commerce, shutting down ports, blocking middle class truckers from doing their jobs and earning a days wages. What they think they are accomplishing escapes me.

They claim the support of rank and file workers, but the online poll offered by KGW News shows overwhelmingly that they have little support among the middle class. I imagine the thousands of people who lost wages today due to their ongoing tantrum aren’t too happy about that.

One such protester, a young mother identified only as “Lotus” boasts of having her 4-year old daughter on the train tracks! (about the 1:15 mark)
