A Note to Clark County Republicans

by lewwaters

Just a note for those Republicans calling for Republicans to vote Democrat or abstain voting at all (thereby enabling another Democrat to be elected), for you that are upset and believing Jaime Herrera Beutler does not vote how you desire often enough, think of how often Carolyn Long will vote your way as a Democrat firmly entrenched in the 3rd Congressional District representative seat and opposed to every issue you support.

In the case of state legislators, again consider how Democrats, already in a comfortable majority will run over you with tax increase, LGBT Education, Gun Control and bans with even fewer Republicans to try and counter their moves.

If you think it will be a “cake walk” to retake any seat you give up to Democrats now, you’re as dumb as a box of rocks. A district may very well be “conservative” now, but give it up to the Democrats to prove some point only switches that district to Liberal.

Really! What in the hell are you people thinking?

HandshakeFor purposes in this post, Alliance is defined as “a merging of efforts or interests by persons” to further a common goal. That goal being to lessen, if not end the bitter political divide we in the United States and Clark County, Washington see ourselves in.

Many of us, Independents, Liberal Democrats and Conservative Republicans have recognized that we do have elements from both sides of the aisle pitting us against each other to further their own quest for more power and rule over us, some even laughingly claiming all they wish to do once in control is “leave everybody alone.”

We saw this push for power just a few years ago from the left as they threw all caution to the wind, ignored the voice of the people and pushed ahead with a severely flawed plan to force citizens into accepting the light rail from Portland we had voted down before in the now comatose Columbia River Crossing light rail / bridge project, costing taxpayers some $200 Million.

Why Many Vietnam Vets Are Boycotting ‘The Butler’

by lewwaters

Jane Fonda MugshotIt is being reported how many Vietnam Veterans are both boycotting and calling on others to boycott the Lee Daniels movie, the Butler, leaving many, mostly younger people who weren’t yet born or who were too young to recall those days asking why.

I hope this post helps those of you to understand as well as join us in boycotting this movie, also under fire for specious representation of Ronald Reagan.

Excerpt of an undated speech Hanoi Jane Fonda gave at U.C. Berkeley in the early 1970’s, where she praises the Communist North Vietnamese and students in attendance applaud upon hearing her gleeful announcement of 34 American B-52’s being shot down by the Communist North Vietnamese. That would be a potential 170 American Servicemen dying. Is it any wonder why so many of us Vietnam Veterans despise this person?

Who Needs to Get a Life, Hanoi Jane?

by lewwaters

Jane Fonda, aka ‘Hanoi’ Jane Fonda for her treasonous exploits offering aid and comfort to our enemy at a time we had Troops in harm’s way doesn’t seem to like that so many Vietnam Vets still despise her. Part of why was stated in Hanoi Jane, It Wasn’t a ‘Mistake,’ It Was Treason

She clings to the canard that all she did wrong was succumb to the moment, posing for a very inflammatory set of photos of her sitting at an anti-aircraft gun. The below video should explain why her actions are considered “treasonous” by us and that it goes much further than those photos.

She expressed “regret” for the photo, but stands by her other actions and today, claims, “I have never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us.”

And now, she says that we need to “get a life?”

Hanoi Jane, It Wasn’t a ‘Mistake,’ It Was Treason

by lewwaters

Jane Fonda MugshotTREASON: The betrayal of one’s own country by waging war against it or by consciously or purposely acting to aid its enemies.

Hanoi Jane Fonda is at it again. She just can’t shut up and fade away to the cesspool of herself. And as expected, being a leftist loon, she plays the victim over her treasonous activities long ago during the Vietnam War.

In her latest rant she cries, “I Will Go to My Grave with Unforgivable Mistake,” the “mistake” being the infamous photo of her sitting at an enemy anti-aircraft gun in North Vietnam taken during her 1972 visit to the communist nation while our Troops were engaged in war against the Communist North Vietnamese.

Hanoi Jane Celebrated Shooting Down of B-52’s by Communist North Vietnamese

by lewwaters

If ever anyone wonder why so many of us Vietnam Veterans still harbor ill will against this woman, a excerpt from a speech given sometime in the early 1970’s at U.C. Berkeley where students in attendance applaud her claim of 34 American B-52’s being shot down by the Communist North Vietnamese. That is a potential of 170 American Servicemen killed.

Wholesale Burning of Korans a Very Bad Idea

by lewwaters

As I heard of the idea to burn copies of Islam’s Holy Book on September 11, put forth by Florida Pastor Terry Jones, visions of newsreel footage of the Nazi’s burning books raced through my head, followed by an old episode of the 1970’s TV show, the Walton’s, where John Boy rescued a Holy Bible written in German from the flames.

Those visions soon gave way to the thought, “what ignorant moron would propose such a thing?”

My thought is not born out of any profound acceptance of Islam or appreciation for their beliefs, just common sense knowing that such actions will serve only to inflame the very people our Troops are trying to win the hearts and minds of in Afghanistan and Iraq. It is such a great propaganda tool for the Taliban, Al Qaeda and other extremist groups, I am left wondering if Jones isn’t in their employ.

No, obviously he is not, but he sure isn’t thinking of the welfare of our Troops in harm’s way.

I see this as little more than a publicity gimmick for a marginal nobody to make a name for himself, not exactly what Christianity is supposed to be about. Jones even freely admits he has no knowledge of the Koran saying, “I have no experience with it whatsoever. I only know what the Bible says,” adding that God told him to burn the books.

General David Petraeus is alarmed over the idea saying,

“It could endanger troops and it could endanger the overall effort. It is precisely the kind of action the Taliban uses and could cause significant problems. Not just here, but everywhere in the world we are engaged with the Islamic community.”

Jones agrees his plan could spark outrage and violence against our Troops and others, but plans to go ahead with his ill-conceived idea saying,

“America should quit apologizing for its actions and bowing to kings.”

It isn’t apologizing or bowing to show a little respect or tolerance to the people who we are also trying to encourage to stand up and fight the scourge from within their midst that plan on a world takeover by their own perverted view of their Holy Book.

It is aid and comfort to the enemy to supply the enemy to give them ample support, or even a propaganda tool to turn people against our Troops while fighting. Already protests have been held in Afghanistan and you can be sure more will follow elsewhere.

While Jones feels he has the first amendment right to do such a thing, it is a total tactical blunder to play into our enemies hands in such a cavalier fashion. In my estimation, if even one of our Troops is harmed or killed as a result of inflamed passions over this action, Jones should be tried for treason.

Since Jones claims to “only know what the Bible says,” I’d like to remind him of,

2 Timothy 2:24 “The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, 25 with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth,” and Acts 8:22 “Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray the Lord that, if possible, the intention of your heart may be forgiven you.”

He might also reflect on

Titus 3:1 “Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, 2 to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men.”

Pastor Jones, if this is the only way you can come up with the try to grow your 50 member Church, surely you will answer on Judgment Day for the blood you are about to cause to be spilled.
